How to use the forward and back buttons with JavaScript

Using a Form:

<FORM NAME="buttombar">
     <INPUT TYPE="button" VALUE="Back" onClick="history.back()">
     <INPUT TYPE="button" VALUE="Forward" onClick="history.forward()">
</FORM>

Using Images or Text:

<a href="javascript:history.back()">Back</a>
<a href="javascript:history.forward()">Forward</a>
